Hometown Heroes Banners are Up, Dedication & Community Day Tomorrow!

The Borough road crew installed the first batch of the Hometown Heroes banners along main street today. The banners are a fundraiser for the new Mount Pocono Parks and Recreation Foundation. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization raising funds to improve and enhance the recreational opportunities for Borough residents.

The banner outside the Borough Building honors the 100th Birthday of Borough resident H. John "Jack" Davis, and is sponsored by Borough Council Members Fran O'Boyle, Donna Casole, Matt Hensel, Stacy Stewart-Keeler, and Tom Ford.

Tomorrow, Saturday, June 29, is the Foundations first annual Community Day. At the Borough building, starting at 9 am, the event will feature the dedication of the banners, a flag disposal ceremony (bring your old flags), vendors, food rucks, and more! Bring the family!!

Hometown Heroes banners are still available for purchase. Honor your veteran loved one with their own banner to be hung in the heart of the Borough. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION!
